Sugar-Mate Energy Bolus box / 12
Product Code: DM11024-12
Rapid Release Energy and Calcium Supplement !
Contains energy, calcium and niacin for post-calving dairy cows and cows with other metabolic problems6
Sugar-Mate boluses help reduce the risk of ketosis and milk fever by releasing a rapidly assimilable dose of energy and calcium1,2,3,4. They provide a rapid and sustained increase in blood calcium levels1,2 and support the metabolism of cows in early lactation1,2,3.
Proven Ingredients :
Each Dose (3 boluses) contains minimum 320 g of Glucose, 45 g of available calcium and 9.75 g Niacin
- Calcium propionate has two functions: It is a source of rapidly assimilable energy assimilated in the same way as propylene glycol and it is a source of calcium that allows to maintain the blood calcium level1-2.
- Sugar (Dextrose) is easily and quickly fermented in the rumen and has a positive effect on energy metabolism which helps reduce the risk of ketosis (acetonemia) and it also stimulate appetite without acidifying the rumen4.
- Niacin provides metabolic support. Niacin allows a faster detoxification of ammonia by the animal's liver. In addition, it stimulates blood sugar formation in the liver and faster utilization of ketone bodies to prevent ketosis3.
Recommended Dose :
Give three to four boluses orally, prior to and/or immediately following calving.
Remove boluses from the package. Insert the flat end of the bolus into an appropriate bolus gun and point the round end toward the cow. Insert bolus gun into the back of the cow’s mouth and deposit the bolus allowing the animal to swallow. Allow access to water after administration.
Cautions :
Do not use excessive force when administering to the cow. Do not administer to down cows, or cows without a normal swallowing reflex. Broken boluses or boluses with sharp edges should not be used. This VHP may not be incorporated into a mixed feed.
Warnings:
For animal use only. Keep out of reach of children, not for human use. No withdrawal period is required when used according to the label.
Store product between 40°F | 4°C and 60°F | 15°C product can melt out of formation and will not work properly in a bolus gun if stored outside of the range. Under these conditions product should provide 12 months of shelf life from the manufacturing date shown on the bucket.
